I am saddened to have to inform the Public Policy Studies community that Theresa Bernsen, MA, PT, who was a doctoral student died on Friday, July 9, 2010. Theresa was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of  Physical Therapy. In order for all of us to remember our colleague in our thoughts and prayers, the following information is shared.

New Student Orientation 8/24/09

Dear Public Policy Masters student:

On behalf of the Public Policy Studies Department, I would like to formally invite you to a special meeting/new students orientation for the masters program, which will be held on Monday, August 24th from 4:30-7:00 pm. Pizza and sodas will be provided. This event a formal way to interact with faculty and fellow masters students, obtain information vital to your academic journey, and prepare for the upcoming academic year.

Please note there is mandatory attendance at this event for all new students.  For continuing students, attendance at this event is strongly suggested as we will be going over comps, capstones, etc. In addition to faculty, we are inviting people from different parts of the university who can be helpful to you as you work on your degree. Directors of the masters programs will briefly introduce themselves as will other faculty and staff persons and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

“Business” part of the meeting (introductions, hand-outs, etc.) 4:30–6:00

“Fun” part (Pizza and socializing)  6:00-7:00
