The seminar will provide an overview of Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) research. D&I is an emerging field striving to advance the translation of results from clinical studies into everyday clinical practice/decision making. This involves identification and resolution of barriers to implementation of evidence-based practices in community practice; and for scientists, the use of new methodological approaches, strategies, and measurement of implementation (vs. clinical) outcomes.
The presenter, Enola Proctor Ph.D., is the Frank J. Bruno Professor of Social Work Research, and Associate Dean for Faculty, George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. She directs the Dissemination and Implementation Core within the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences, the Implementation Research Institute, and the Center for Mental Health Services Research.
Please feel free to bring a lunch. Light refreshments will be served.
