Volunteer-St. Louis County Point-in-Time Homeless Census 1/23/10
Mark your calendars! The St. Louis County Division of Homeless Services will be conducting a census of our homeless residents on Saturday, January 23rd. This census serves as a valuable tool in evaluating the homeless population that is living on the street so their needs may be identified and addressed.
We were very pleased with the volunteer turnout for the last census and are hoping for another great group this year. We have made a few changes from last year, one of the most obvious is the change from a midweek evening count to a daytime count, which will be on a Saturday. Volunteers will be meeting at one location and we will provide training prior to the start of the census.
Tentatively, the schedule is:
8:30 a.m. Registration
9:00 a.m. Volunteer Training & Team Coordination
10:30 a.m. Census Begins (We expect the census to run no later than 3:00 p.m.)
