Workshop description: Hospitals, universities, and other large institutions have a dramatic impact on their host communities. At times the needs of the institution are in conflict with the community. In other situations, the institutions may be committed to sustaining the surrounding neighborhoods and local planners and officials are challenged to help guide investment and development.
